CSR and organisational giving
Most CSR proposals are written backwards: a number is promised first, and the work is fitted to it afterwards. We cannot do that, and this page explains what we do instead.
Annmaya Foundation feeds children and adults at risk with food we buy, cook and serve ourselves. Everything on this site is a specific, physical thing — a hot thali, milk and bananas, a food packet with water, a grocery kit a family can cook from — with a stated cost and a stated recipient. An organisational gift funds more of exactly that, on dates you choose, with photographs coming back once it has been served.
What we can commit to
- Packages, quantities and dates. That is the unit we work in, and it is the unit a proposal from us will be written in.
- Photographs from the distributions your gift funded, once they have passed the consent and dignity review every published image goes through.
- A written description of what was bought, prepared and served, against the packages you funded.
- Our own particulars, our published policies and our governance page, so your compliance team can read what we say publicly before you commit anything.
What we will not commit to
This is the part worth reading before you write, because it is where most CSR conversations end.
- We will not state an impact figure, a beneficiary count, a percentage of spend or a cost-per-outcome, because we hold no approved document that would support one. A number nobody can check is indistinguishable from one that was invented.
- We will not publish your logo or your name on this site as a partner unless you ask us to. A listing is not what an organisational gift buys here.
- We will not brand a distribution, ask anybody being served to hold a sign, to pose with a product, or to say something for a camera. The safeguarding policy governs the day, not the campaign plan.
- We will not share information about the people we serve. You receive photographs and confirmation that the distribution happened, not names, addresses or details about a family.
- We will not promise a tax treatment. The payment step on this site says it plainly, and the same sentence applies to an organisational gift: 80G details are not part of this donation. Please take your own advice on how a contribution is treated.
How a first conversation goes
- You write to us and say what you are trying to achieve, roughly what scale you are considering, and by when.
- We tell you what that translates into in packages, quantities and dates — or we tell you it is beyond what we can carry out well, which is an answer we would rather give than a schedule we cannot keep.
- We agree the packages, the dates and what you will receive afterwards, in writing.
- The distribution runs. Photographs and a written account of what was served come back to you.
Employee volunteering can be part of it, and it is welcome, but it is not decoration. Everyone who joins a distribution reads the safeguarding policy and works to it, and a distribution is not rearranged so that a photograph looks better.
What to send us
Tell us who you are, what you want to fund, the scale and the timing, and anything your own compliance process needs from us. Write to Annmaya Foundation at annmayafoundation@gmail.com, or call or message +918004783575. Our registered address is Kerakatpur, Lohta, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh 221107, India. We aim to reply within three working days.
- Funding hot cooked meals at our own distributions, in the quantities and on the dates you choose.
- Funding milk and fruit for children, bought fresh on the morning it is served.
- Funding grocery kits a family can cook from for more than a single day.
- Funding food packets with drinking water for distribution on the ground.
- Funding education kits for children alongside a meal distribution.
- Marking a company milestone, an anniversary or a remembrance with a distribution on that date.
- Employee volunteering on a distribution, under the safeguarding policy, alongside people who have done it before.
- Funding meals for street animals, which is a cause on this site in its own right rather than an add-on.
